Hi and welcome to my blog! Reading is your gateway to new stories and ideas. My journey through reading is a little different. When I was younger, I would abandon every book and never finish it. Throughout the past few years, I started to read more and started to learn new and powerful messages that I wouldn’t have known without books. There are so many different types of messages you can learn through books. For example, author, Jason Reynolds, writes books that have taught me about differences in our lives. Because of that, I have learned to not judge people by how they look or act. They are still people, just like you.
Through my Culture of Readers initiative, my partners and I want to help younger students at our school to know about great books that have powerful messages. With the books that we choose, we will put it on a March Madness bracket so they can vote on the best book with the best message that they have learned. We want to impact others to know that some unknown books have very powerful messages that the can take away and use it later in life.
